Ramblings of a Billy Joel obsessed chickadee

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH. What's the matter with the car I'm driving!? Can't you tell that it's out of style? I actually think the car I drive isn't particularly stylish, or otherwise. It's just a car. You know? Like beep beep beep on the road. Beep beep beep beep YEAH! But that is the beatles. Not Billy Joel. Billy Joel is amazing. Tonight I had good times playing his music on the piano. The lovely piano. The baby grand piano. There is actually a Billy Joel song called "baby grand". A bow I know once told me some things about that song and Billy Joel and Ray Charles and all sorts of stuff. It was fascinating. Anyway, I was rocking out. But I was only playing on the grand part of the time. Part of the time I was playing on the upright while my friend played the baby grand. We were playing Pressure and it was pretty insane. I have that song memorized. Yay for memorization. I only have a few Billy Joel songs memorized--there are only a few I can actually play so far. But I'm working on it! It's been great to actually be able to play the piano. I didn't used to really like it, because I sort of hated piano lessons. But then my mom bought the sheet music for "You are Loved" by Josh Groban. I learned to play that really quickly and memorized that piece and ever since then I started feeling more confident. When we found an old Billy Joel book -one my mom had in high school actually- I was beyond ecstatic. I just went to it. I was like "YES! BILLY JOEL!!!" I started out trying to play "for the longest time" and I tell you playing that song through even once took me the LONGEST TIME. I really wanted to get it though because I was trying to build up so that I could play pressure. Surprisingly enough, I decided to just try playing Pressure one day and astoundingly I got it. Why I'm blogging about this I'm not quite sure. Anyway, I'll leave for now but surely shall post again someday.
